Milestone 1 - Laying The Foundation

Welcome to Subscription School! I’m thrilled to have you here. Over the course of the next 6 weeks together we’ll be building a passive subscription business that pays you reliably month after month.

I know you’re excited to get going but before you dive into the course please go through this short “Getting Started” guide. Not only will it dramatically increase your success with the program, but it will help you get up and running much faster too!

The guide goes over the layout of the program, how to get help, how to get the most out of the program and a few frequently asked questions. But of course, if you have any questions you’d like to ask me directly feel free to send me a message by emailing me directly at [email protected] or by visiting the contact page at https://adamnolan.com/contact.

I’m looking forward to working together! Start by reading through this Quick Start Guide:

Part 1. Figuring Out Your Daily Subscriber Goal

Figuring out your Daily Subscriber Goal is one of the most crucial aspects of achieving your income goal. While knowing the exact amount you need to make every month to live your dream life is important, this takes it a step further. In this short video we'll break down the number of subscribers you'll need to get on a daily basis to hit your income goal in 1 year.

Part 2. Finding Your Ideal Market - The 3 Lists Exercise

Finding the right market for you will set you up for long-term success. It turns work into something enjoyable and ensures you won't burn out or get tired of your business in a short period of time. If you're already 100% confident you know the market you'd like to work in, feel free to skip this exercise. But if you're unsure, or have multiple ideas this exercise (and the one after it) are crucial to eliminating analysis paralysis and moving forward with confidence.

Part 3. Finding Your Ideal Market - The Market Score Exercise

After you've narrowed down your market to your top 3-5 options, run them through this Market Score Exercise to determine which option is objectively best for you. Not all markets are created equal and not all of them will be suited to your skillset, interests and goals. This exercise helps you find the one that will give you the highest chance of success.

Part 4. Choosing Your Branding

While not crucial to the success of your business, your branding, domain name and logo add a lot of credibility to your business. An apt comparison would be selling in a garage sale vs selling at a retail store. You'd be far more comfortable and far more likely to purchase something with a credit card from a retail location than you would a garage sale. Your branding, domain name & logo add tremendously to that credibility. Branding legitimizes your business in the eyes of the customer.

Part 5. Choosing Your Subscription Model - Part 1

There are a few things to be aware of when choosing your subscription model. In this short video I'll go over the most important elements of your subscription, pitfalls to avoid, pricing correctly and other high level things to think of before choosing one of the 10 subscription business models listed in the next video.

Choosing Your Subscription Model - Part 2

In this video we'll go over the 10 most effective subscription models for this business. From creating buyers clubs to writing monthly newsletters, you've got a lot of options! After watching this video, choose your top 3 ideas and think about them for a while before continuing. Also keep in mind that it's never a bad idea to combine more than 1 option and make something entirely unique. And of course, feel free to send me a message to discuss as well. I'm happy to help. :)

What's Next?

Before continuing to the next section, please send me your work as well as any questions you have. This is a very hands on program and I love reviewing any exercises that you'd like to share. Once you're confident with your decisions, move on to the next lesson,  finding your tripwire items.
